PrEP Basics and Education Services
PrEP Basics and Education Services supports participants in their implementation of all PrEP Services in Colorado. The course will familiarize participants with basic PrEP clinical knowledge, the role of PrEP in prevention, indications for PrEP, and the Colorado PrEP Universal Standards of Care. Participants will also have an opportunity to explore their values around PrEP to support client work. Finally, the course provides a (newly revised) education tool that encompasses the required elements of PrEP Education Services, which are the basis of individual or group level education.
Please note: This course is a pre-requisite for Risk Adjusted Counseling and Referral, Introduction to PrEP Navigation, and Fundamentals of Retention Services. It is also encouraged for Outreach Services. The previous course, Overview of PrEP for Non-Clinical Providers, serves as a substitute; however there are new and updated components in this class. Therefore, you are invited to attend according to your needs.
